Gion Morisyo A 100-year old Japanese townhouse, cosy inn Gion Morisyo features Japanese-style accommodation, free Wi-Fi and a garden. It's a 5-minute walk from both the Yasaka Jingu Shrine and the Kodai-ji temple.Air-conditioned rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor, a low table and seating cushions. Yukata robes and green tea are provided, and guests sleep in traditional futon bedding on the tatami. A shared bathroom is for private use, and comes with a bathtub made of cypress wood.Gion Morisyo is a 5-minute walk from Kennin-ji Temple, and a 20-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple. From Kyoto Station it's a 20-minute bus ride and 3-minute walk from the bus stop.A Japanese breakfast can be ordered daily, and is served at the dining area.Famous novelist Junichiro Tanizaki spent lots of time at Morisyo Gion, calling it the Flowers Inn. The hotel is completely non-smoking, and it has a curfew at 23:00.
